A picture speaks a thousand words states an old saying; this is true, but what the saying leaves out is that for the picture to actually be worth seeing it has to provide enchantment, attraction and emotion.  All of us, at one point or another in our lives have been able to see and realize what a wonderful world we live in and we have taken pictures of it.

How many pictures is of no consequence in this case; the importance of taking pictures is what happens here.  We take pictures because we want to make a specific moment in our present immortal; whether it is the birth of a niece or a grandchild, the wedding of a friend or sibling or even the demise of a loved one; we want the moment to linger on in our life.  Therefore, we take pictures.

Nonetheless, taking pictures is only one of the different steps that people will take in their own process of immortalization; with the appearance of the Internet, people have found a new and fascinating means to make themselves live forever as well as perpetuate their favourite moments.  Photo sharing.

Photo sharing, as its name indicates, is the sharing of a specific photograph or group of photographs to any number of Internet viewers.  In some cases, the photographic sharing can only happen between friends and in other cases, the sharing can take place between the shower and the shown who can be counted in the millions.
